Certified Physician Assistant Andrea Bowden Joins U.S. Dermatology Partners, Expanding General Dermatology Services to Its Pasadena Office
U.S. Dermatology Partners Pasadena previously served as an exclusive surgery center for Mohs skin cancer treatment overseen by Dr. Leon Chen, a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. With the addition of Physician Assistant Andrea Bowden, the Pasadena clinic now offers expanded general dermatology services in southeast Harris County and surrounding areas.
Bowden graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health. In 2017, she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. Prior to completing her graduate studies, she worked as a medical assistant at the U.S. Dermatology Partners location in Cedar Park, which motivated her to become a physician assistant in the specialty. She worked as a dermatology physician assistant for two years before transitioning back to U.S. Dermatology Partners and completing additional clinical and didactic dermatology training.
Specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, Bowden is passionate about providing a positive bedside manner and personalized care. Her goal is to actively collaborate with patients to deliver the most effective treatment plans. She focuses on the treatment of chronic skin conditions and early detection, prevention, and treatment of skin cancer.
Additionally, Bowden is licensed by the Texas Medical Board and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and the Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.
