Dr. John Wofford grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Texas Tech University. Additionally, he earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
He completed his internal medicine internship at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and then completed his dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center. He recently completed his dermatopathology fellowship at ProPath.
Dr. Wofford’s interest in dermatology began when he was in high school and shadowed a family friend at his dermatology practice. “The enjoyment and fulfillment that he received from his work was immediately and strikingly apparent, and that impression stuck with me throughout college and medical school,” Dr. John Wofford says.
Dr. Wofford’s primary clinical interests include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin diseases. “I have extensive experience utilizing systemic and biologic therapies to treat these conditions to help patients achieve life-changing control of their disease,” he says.
In his free time, Dr. John Wofford enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his dog. He also enjoys spending time at the gym, cycling, reading, and dining out.
