Dr. Michelle Chevalier graduated manga cum laude from Colgate University and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Pursuing her medical education at Rush Medical College in Chicago, she was awarded the Medical Staff Price for Clinical Excellence and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She subsequently completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago, followed by a dermatology residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Dr. Michelle Chevalier became board certified in dermatology in 2013. Seeking additional specialization, she completed fellowship training in dermatopathology at Tufts University Medical Center and Miraca Life Sciences and became board certified in dermatopathology in 2014. She is an active member of the American Board of Dermatology.
With interests in both medical and surgical dermatology, Dr. Chevalier enjoys addressing complex medical dermatology cases. She especially enjoys putting her dual training in Dermatology and Dermatopathology to work, correlating clinical biopsy findings to achieve the most accurate diagnosis and formulate the best treatment plans for her patients. Thanks to her thorough and compassionate approach to patient care, Dr. Chevalier has a strong rapport with her patients and makes every effort to engage her patients in the formulation of their own individualized treatment plans. She also takes part in local health fairs to increase patient awareness and skin cancer detection.
A former NCAA Division I swimmer, Dr. Chevalier enjoys swimming, skiing, and hiking with her husband and great dane, Sophie.
